EDM transforms raw materials into finished parts with precision electrical discharges. When manufacturing, an electrical current passes between an electrode and a workpiece using a dielectric liquid. The resulting spark discharge erodes the workpiece to form a desired final shape.

Starlight offers the very latest in multi axis Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and Wire-Cut EDM and Spark Erosion Technology. EDM offers the ability to machine very hard materials, complex geometries to extremely difficult tolerances +/- 0.02mm.
